Our neighborhood unfortunately has been severely impacted by SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID. Right now, people over 65 and those with certain underlying health conditions (asthma, diabetes, cancer, etc.) are eligible for the vaccine.
Here are the locations to get the vaccine, although, right now, the supply is tight but should be getting better over the next few weeks:
First, sign up through the Dallas County Health Department site. You can also call 855-466-8639 between 7am and 7pm seven days a week, in English and Spanish. The City of Dallas and FEMA pull names from that list. Our zip code, 75211, is one of the prioritized zip codes for the FEMA site, which is run by the Federal government.
